Daniel Charles Klein Obituary
Klein, Daniel Charles Daniel Charles Klein, age 63, passed away at his home in Caledonia, MI on Saturday, September 7, 2019 after a 17 month battle with brain cancer. Born on June 6, 1956 in Grand Rapids, he was a proud father and grandfather, a successful Millwright in Local 1102 for over 30 years, a fierce cribbage player, an avid hunter and fisherman. He was preceded in death by his father, Martin Frederick Klein; mother, Rosalind Sadie Klein; step-mother, Anna Klein; brother, Joel Rodger Klein; sister-in-law, Cheryl Ann Klein. He is survived by his former spouse, Julie Anne Klein; his children, Emilie Ruth (Preston) Robinson, Robert John Klein, Elizabeth Caroline Klein; grandchildren, William Dicharry Robinson, Henry Raymond Robinson; siblings, Dennis (Nancy) Klein, Steve Klein, Robert (Pam) Klein, Diane McNellis (Butch Thornton), Cindy Klein, Mike (Barb) Averill; many nieces and nephews; mentor, Jack Mays. He will also be greatly missed by his German Shepherd, Ginger; Chihuahua, Downey; Boston Terrier, Ivy; and his cat who he adored, Tiger, who stayed by his side throughout his illness. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, September 13, 2019 at Journey Church, 9185 Cherry Valley Ave SE, Caledonia, with Pastor Derek Schultz officiating. Interment Alaska Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home, 616 E. Main St., Caledonia.
