Carol Nell Sanders, 80, of Leitchfield, passed away Saturday, March 10, 2018, at Norton Hospital in Louisville.
She was born on July 14, 1937, in Leitchfield, the daughter of the late Mark Twain and Eunice Carter Milam.
She was a corporate administrator who enjoyed golfing and playing bridge, and was a member of the Short Creek United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Lila Kleis (Edward) of Louisville; two grandsons, Kevin Kleis (Tracy) and Justin Kleis (Christy); three great-grandchildren, Taylor, Maddie and Beau Kleis; one sister, Margaret Campbell (Jerry) of Tuscola, Ill.; and one brother, Mark C. Milam of Leitchfield. Betty Milam and several nieces and nephews also survive.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar Sanders Jr.; her parents; three brothers, Bruce, Robert and Richard Milam; and one sister, Lois Milam Johnson.
The funeral is 1 p.m. Thursday, March 15, at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield, with Brother Richard Humston officiating. Burial will be in the Vincent Cemetery.
Visitation is from noon to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 9 a.m. until time of services Thursday at the funeral home.
