Regina Pryor Golden, 82, of Martin, Tenn., formerly of Leitchfield and Caneyville, died Thursday, Aug. 23, 2018, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital in Jackson, Tenn.
A 1953 graduate of Leitchfield High School and a 1958 graduate of Bethel College, she was a teacher, social worker and children's home administrator. Her greatest desire was to share Christ's love. She is the author of three books: "God Sent. They Went," "By the Grace of God," and "Into One River Flowing."
Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Jack Golden of Martin, Tenn.; one daughter, Lisa Smartt (Philip) of Dresden, Tenn.; one daughter-in-law, Donna Golden of Denton, Texas; grandchildren Clay Golden (Kellie) of Denton, Texas, Chelsea Chapman (Trevor) of Allen, Texas, Stephen Smartt of Dresden and Jonathan Smartt of Martin; great-grandchildren Stella and Iris Golden, and Laila and Lydia Chapman; two sisters, Yvonne Mercer and Arita French (Ken), both of Leitchfield; and a sister-in-law, Joyce Pryor of Erin, Tenn.
She was preceded in death by one son, Jeryl Golden; her parents, Altus and Dimple Pryor; one brother, Dewain Pryor; and two brothers-in-law, C.L. Mercer and Kimel Embry.
Cremation was chosen. A memorial service is 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 2, at Eveleigh Church, 6674 Brandenburg Road, Leitchfield.
Visitation is from 2 p.m. until time of services Sunday at the church.
