Arlen C. Thompson

Sun River Montana —Arlen C. Thompson was born August 6th, 1931, in Bakersfield, California, and passed June 29th, 2013 in Great Falls, Montana, with family and friends by his side. He married Jaquetta Mitchell September 18th, 1953 in Bakersfield California. He served in the Air force until 1956, when the family moved to Missoula Montana. In Montana, he worked for The Ford Garage, the Forest Service, and the Frenchtown Paper Mill. The family moved to Nine Mile, Montana in 1968, where they lived for twenty-six years. Arlen and Jaquetta relocated to Sun River, Montana in 1994. He loved living in Montana and loved the spending time in the outdoors with his family and friends. Arlen and Jaquetta spent many hours together in their canoe on the river.

Arlen loved his family and his friends very much, and was looking forward to celebrating his and Jaquetta's 60th wedding anniversary in September. He was very proud to have her as his wife and best friend.

Arlen is survived by his wife and best friend, Jaquetta, daughter Sue Stanley, son, Greg Thompson, daughter Laura Cyr and son-in-law Dave Cyr, daughter Janis Bouma; Grandchildren Jason Stanley (Missy), Jennifer Stanley, Heather Palmer (Brian), and Casey Denny (Dustin); great grandchildren Gwendolyn, Samantha, Emmagrace, Beau, Rylan, and Peyton; his brother George Thompson, and many nieces and nephews, and many wonderful friends who were like his family.

We will all miss his great laugh and big bear hugs.

At Arlen's request, no services will be held.
