While living in Washington, Casey, his partner Kim and a group of friends created the "Westside Team Penning Club," a family-oriented competitive ranch event, in Shelton. He loved spending time with his family and friends, riding his motorcycle and horses and spending time at the family ranch and cabin in Montana.

I'm sure you already know I love you all. You know I've been there. Losing a brother isn't so easy...but soemthing to keep in mind is that Casey has left the land of the dying and has gone to the land of the living. I miss you girls very much and keep you in my prayers every day. Take care. xoxoxo

My thoughts and prayers are with Casey's parents and his brother and sisters.
I was so disappointed when I was a kid and the Casavant's moved to Montana, afraid I would never have the chance to see my uncle, aunt, and cousins again. But, luckily when Casey and Monte came back to Vermont to live with their Dad a few years later, I had the opportunity to see Casey and get to know my little cousin a bit. What I will remember most is the easy smile (much like both his parents) and his great sense of humor (and fooling him into believing my little foreign car was an electric car!). I hadn't had the opportunity to see Casey for many years, but managed to keep up with where he was and what he was up to through his dad. Still, I will regret that I won't have the chance to know him as an adult. He sounds like he grew into quite an impressive man.

Uncle Dick, Carole, Monte, Barb, Kristen and Jody, you are all in my thoughts and prayers.

When Casey joined the military, he found another family. He also found himself and flourished. I thank all the men and women in the military for their service to our country and for being part of Casey's life. Keep fighting the good fight. Casey, I will miss the brother you were and the brother you would have been.

Casey was a great patriot who will be dearly missed. It was a pleasure and an honor serving with him in the Army. It is my prayer that the Almighty Father would comfort all of his loved ones in this time of loss. I know it would have put a smile on his face to know how many of his fellow warriors stood at his side for the last time. We won’t forget you brother!

My prayers go out to Barb and all of Casey's family. Casey was truly one of the good guys. He stepped in and helped me out during a difficult time years ago. In the beginning we had some petty differences but Casey was bound and determined to "break" me, and he did. I never saw him without a smile on his face and something kind to say. Thank you Casey for the memories, the friendship you so easily gave and what you've done for our country. You will be missed by many.

My sincerest condolences to Casey's family and loved ones. I didn't have the pleasure of knowing him very long but it sure was an honor. I will always remember him for his ability to send any group of men sprawling with gut-busting laughter. When Casey spoke, people listened. He will be missed but never forgotten.

I will miss Casey as much as I would a brother. Those that worked with him were always better after knowing him. He was always upbeat, always easy to work with, and a true professional in his field. He will be missed among us.

I knew Casey when he was a little boy, full of energy and spunk. And, I knew him as a high school student who spent a lot of time with my family too, for a time. It does not surprise me that he went on to serve our country and to ranch. My condolences to the entire Casavant family, spouses, children. I will remember Casey fondly and with love.

My thoughts are with all of you. The Casavants, the Parsons and Kim. I am an old Vermont friend of Casey's. I loved him dearly. His very untimely death has left a hugh empty space in my heart. He was a great man, a true friend, one of a kind. I will cherish all of my memories with him always, and that beautiful smile will be remembered forever. Thank you for having such a wonderful son that I was blessed to call "friend".

It appears Casey lived by " Work Hard, Play Hard ". There are no words that can replace your sorrow and the joy that he brought to your lives. His desire and courage will remain with all his family, friends and those who he worked with.
I was not fortunate to have had the opportunity to meet him and see that he was born on my birthday when I was 20 years old.
We will continue to keep Casey and his family in out thoughts and prayers. God Bless him and his family.
