Evelyn Lucille Cope Linse Obituary
DENTON Evelyn Lucille Cope Linse, 85, of Denton, died of natural causes Friday, Nov. 23, at her home.

A memorial service is being planned for the spring of 2013. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Central Montana Crematorium of Lewistown.

On Nov. 23, 2012, Evelyn Lucille Cope Linse passed from this life to a place of peace and eternal life. Those that she left behind deeply mourn the loss of the very hub of our family and her ever abiding love.

Evelyn Lucille Cope Linse was born in Denton on March 27, 1927, to Wilma Juanita Rowe Cope and Samuel Fonzo Cope. She grew up on the Everson Bench and attended country schools until junior high school, when the family moved near Lewistown and operated a dairy farm. She graduated from Fergus County High School in 1945. On Oct. 6, 1946, she married Vincent Linse and they made their home on the Linse ranch northeast of Denton. Evelyn (Evie as family and friends called her) was the proud mother of 11 children (10 of whom grew to adulthood), the grandmother of 13, and the great-grandmother of four.

She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Vincent and their children, Fred of Hendersonville, N.C., Rod of Portland, Ore., Jan Linse-Frost and Kathy of Billings, Mark of Kansas City, Mo., Kristi Johnson of Berlin, Wis., Judy of Denton; Kirk of Laurel, Vance of Portland and Val of Kalispell; 13 grandchildren Derek and Dylan Frost, Greta Linse Peterson, Anna Linse Scott, Daniel and Aaron Johnson, Natalie Linse Miller, Brandon, Chelsea, Justin, Alex and Kallie Linse and Austin Swisher; and two sisters Audrey Biglen of Lewistown and Vera West of Federal Way, Wash.

Evie was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Eric (Ricky) at age 5; sisters Vivian Jones, Anita Steward and Shirley Mascall; and her brother, Bill Cope.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Evie's name to The Boys and Girls Club of Lewistown, 134 Park St., Lewistown, MT 59457 or the Scottish Rite (Rite Care) 514 14th St. W. Billings, MT 59102 for their Childhood Language Clinic. To view an online memorial site, go to:
