Millie was born in Conrad, MT on April 19, 1949, to Albert and Garnet Wiest. She graduated from Conrad High School in 1967, and from the College of Great Falls (University of Providence) December 1971 with a BS in Elementary Education.

She married Jeff Platisha on December 18, 1971, in Great Falls. They recently celebrated their 49th Anniversary. She and Jeff have one son, Brian, born on August 23, 1977.

In January of 1972, Millie started her teaching career with Great Falls Public Schools. She taught for 30 years, until health issues forced her retirement. Millie was associated with Contract Flooring-Carpet One serving as corporate treasurer until 2020.

Although Millie had many compromising health issues, she always kept a positive, cheerful attitude. She loved a good visit and shopping! She was close to cousins, Ed Merlo of Great Falls, Kathy Rosse of Bothell, WA, and Debbie Buckingham of Bozeman.

Millie is survived by her husband, Jeff and son, Brian Platisha, both of Great Falls. She was preceded in death by her younger sister, Rita in 1974 and her parents.

The family would like to thank Millie's cargiver, TiAnn Lugo for her care and dedication.

Such memories from growing up in Conrad as close friends and neighbors of the Weist family. So very sorry to hear of Millie’s passing.
