GREAT FALLS - "Yaga" Kras, 93, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 6, 2019 at Peace Hospice.

Yaga was born April 13, 1925 in Frampol, Poland to Ignacy and Pelagia Kras. She and the family survived the horror of German Nazi occupation during World War II. Yaga immigrated to the U.S.A. in 1965 at the invitation of her brother, Stanley Kras and the Riehl family in Great Falls, MT. She became a US citizen in 1987.

Yaga worked at the old Jack Club and many years at Lippi's Kitchen. She was a devoted member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church.

Yaga was preceded in death by her parents and brother. She is survived by her caregiver Theresa Albingier Johnson, her relatives in Poland, and her friends at Lippi's Kitchen.

The funeral liturgy will be Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 410 22nd Ave NE with a viewing from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. also at Corpus Christi. Burial will follow the service at Mount Olivet Cemetery. Schnider Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
