James Whooley Obituary
James Joseph Whooley

CAMERON PARK, CA —James Joseph Whooley, 51, of Cameron Park, CA. died July 21, 2014 of sudden cardiac arrest.

James was born May 22, 1963, in Great Falls, Montana to James and Marjorie Whooley. He graduated from Great Falls High in 1981 and Montana State University Northern in 1985. After graduation he moved to California and worked in the computer industry. He worked in the information technology area of computers and was Director of I.T. for Intelliquote Insurance Services in Cameron Park.

He belonged to Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Folsom and In-Shape Tennis Club in Shingle Springs. He had a special interest in children and his favorite charity was St. Jude's Children's Hospital. Jim was a sports enthusiast and played tennis throughout his life. The evening he died he had just returned home from a tennis match. He also walked every day and swam during his lunch hour. He golfed and enjoyed watching his favorite football teams, Notre Dame and Denver Broncos.

His dad was his mentor and was responsible for developing many of his interests. Jim was from a close family and every Thanksgiving or Christmas was celebrated in Philadelphia or California. When his dad was no longer able to travel, he came to Great Falls, and the family gathered at the home of his cousin, Patti Jo Lane, her husband, Tom Dean and their children for celebrations hosted by them.

Jim is survived by loving parents, Jim and Margie Whooley of Great Falls, MT; brother Brian (Mary) Whooley; nieces Meghan and Lauren of Downingtown, PA; uncle John (Clara) Whooley of Eau Claire, WI; aunt Rosemary (Keith) Kampschror of Peoria, AZ; uncle Joe (Eileen) Lane of Dillon, MT; and 12 cousins. He will also be greatly missed by close friend, Lori Deauville and many others in California.

Jim was taken from us much too young. He was a joy to his family and friends and life without him will never be the same.

Private family services will be held at Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Schnider Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
