Her burial will be held at 3 p.m. at the Highland Cemetery in Glasgow, Montana. Memorial contributions in Frances' honor may be made to the First Lutheran Church in Havre. Frances was born November 5, 1925 in Nashua, Montana to Louis and Stella (McPherson) Johnson. She was raised in Nashua and attended school in Nashua and in Glasgow. On May 22, 1940, Frances married Eugene Kuszmaul in Wolfpoint, Montana. Eugene was in the Army Air Corps, and when he was honorably discharged the couple made their home in Fort Peck to begin their family. Frances worked at Woolworth and at the Fashionette in Glasgow. In 1983 when the couple decided to retire, they moved to Havre to be near their daughter Beth.

She was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Havre and TOPS. She was very active in her church attending Bible study and serving as a Stevens Minister visiting the shut-ins and the elderly. Frances was a very strong person who was loving and accepting of all people. She was very patient and content with her life, no regrets. She enjoyed her walks at the mall with coffee following. Her family and friends were very important to her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Eugene, her niece Debbie Roness, her sister in-law Ann Johnson, and all of her loving family members that passed before her.

Frances is survived by her daughters Sheron (Bob Stevens) Smoyer of Fairbanks, AK, and Beth (Joe) Davidson of Havre, Montana; her son Don (Shaune) Kuszmaul of Great Falls, Montana; her five grandchildren; and her 14 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Frank Johnson of Nashua and numerous nieces and nephews.
