Gerald "Bud" Stewart, 70, Green Bay, passed away Tuesday, February 25, 2014, at home after a short battle with cancer. Bud was born April 29, 1943, in Oconto to Alfred and Henrietta (Hanson) Stewart. He attended St. Joseph Catholic Grade School and graduated from Oconto High School, Class of 1961.

Bud enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in February of 1962. After basic training, he was stationed in Ramstein, Germany until 1965. Bud spent his remaining Air Force career at Minot Air Force Base, ND. He drove for Cruiser Boats, worked for Foster Construction, and Snap-On Tools, before he was hired by Schneider Transport where he was an overhaul mechanic and satellite installer for 33 years. Bud married Patricia Holt on August 13, 1966, at St. Louis Catholic Church in Abrams and they enjoyed 47 years together.

He was an avid hunter and went to the "cabin" for deer hunting for 49 years. Bud also had a passion for golf and was pretty good at it. He enjoyed fishing with his grandsons, and pool parties with his family and friends. Bud also enjoyed traveling with his wife and was planning on returning to Scotland someday.

He is survived by his wife, Pat; daughters, Tina LaCourt, Tracy Stewart, and Tonya (Dean) Peotter; five grandchildren, Jordan and Amanda MacNeill, Malachi LaCourt, and Jenna and Brennen Peotter; a sister, June Carriveau, Oconto; three brothers, Roger (Carol) Stewart, Oconto; Bill (Bonnie) Stewart, Green Bay; and Jon (Carol) Stewart, Oconto; two sisters-in-law, Barb Rosenfeldt, Appleton; and Linda Holt, Oconto; a brother-in-law, James Wilde and many nieces and nephews.

Bud was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Doug Stewart; two sisters, Joan Stewart and Glenore Wilde; brother-in-law, Jim Carriveau; and mother-in-law and father-in-law, Bob and Evelyn Holt.

Friends may call at Blaney Funeral Home, 1521 Shawano Ave., from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, March 1. The Memorial Service will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. To send online condolences, please go to
