Connelly, Jeanne L.

Jeanne L. Connelly, 87, Green Bay, died peacefully at a local nursing home on December 1, 2012, with family by her side. Born on September 5, 1925, in Green Bay, she is the daughter of the late Frank and Esther (Final) DeWitt. Jeanne was a graduate of Saints Peter and Paul School and Green Bay East High School. On September 28, 1946, she married Bernard Connelly, and he preceded her in death May 11, 2001. Jeanne worked at Tel-sec for many years, and also worked retail at J.C. Penney until her retirement. She enjoyed knitting, needlepoint, shopping, playing Bridge.

Jeanne is survived by five children, Karen (Gary) Wendorf, Roanoke, Virginia, Mary (John) Collins, Oneida, Gregg Connelly, Hobart, Lynn (David) Sadler, Carmel, Indiana, and Jill (Brian) Sudduth, Green Bay; five grandchildren, Jason (Carolyn) Wendorf, Chad (Gretchen) Wendorf, Erin (Charles) VanDenHeuvel, Laura Connelly, and Morgan Sudduth; two great grandchildren, Cailin and Luke Wendorf; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and one brother, the Rev. Msgr. James DeWitt.

Visitation at MALCORE (West) Funeral Home, 1530 West Mason Street, Wednesday from 3 - 6 p.m. Funeral service 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Don Everts officiating. Burial in Allouez Catholic Cemetery.
