I just found out about this wonderful creative soul from a Google Doodle. My goodness what an amazing gift that was in this earthly vessel. I honor you and your spirit Mr Charlie Hill. (Today on your birthday.) Many prayers of Peace and Prosperity to your family for generations to come. Shalom

We extend our deepest sympathy to the family. Charlie made us think differently about historical and contemporary Native American issues through his humor. We will treasure the moments when he made us laugh while he was on stage and just visiting. His presence will be missed but not forgotten.

Rosa and Family,
I want to extend my deepest sympathies to you and your family. I remember your brother from when you and I worked together at the Bank. You have to be very proud of his many talents and his promotion of the Native American Heritage. Again may God be with you and your family at this most difficult time.
Love you always,

I have been blessed in my youth to have had the opportunity to share the stage so to speak with Charlie before he became famous. I sat beside Charlie in a few classes at West De Pere High School, where we shared many laughs and exchanged jokes and quips for a few years. Two high school boys who wanted to laugh, and to the teachers dismay at times, did we ever. Around 1981 I ran into Charlie at the Green Bay airport. He introduced me to his wife and we started making each other laugh again as if no time passed. He was a good friend, a genuine caring man, and the world has lost a smile.

John Lennon once said: "My mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down 'happy.' The teacher told me I didn't understand the assignment and I told her she didn't understand life." Charlie made me happy and the laughter he created for us all made life a little bit more bearable. I was blessed by his warm smile and his hearty laugh. I will miss him. May the Lord's grace, peace and mercy be with the entire Hill family at this difficult time. Warmest regards, Buz
