Adam "Chris" Ellsworth

Hobart - Adam "Chris" Ellsworth, 25, Hobart, WI, formerly of Fort Smith, AR, passed away Saturday, June 9, 2018. He was born on April 10, 1993, in Bangor, ME to Tim and Janine (Seitz) Ellsworth.

Chris grew up in Vancouver, WA, where he attended St. Joseph's Catholic School and developed a love for baseball and music. He attended La Salle High School in Oregon, before moving to Louisiana, where he completed Bachelor's Degrees in sociology and psychology at LA Tech University. As a student, Chris advocated for rights of the LGBTQ community, and was elected president of the campus chapter his senior year. After college, Chris continued to pursue his interest in sociology, and was accepted into the Sociology Doctoral Program at Portland State University.

Chris will be remembered for his caring, thoughtful and empathic personality, his love for his family and friends, and his passion for social justice.

Chris will be sadly missed by his parents, Tim and Janine; brother, Mathew Ellsworth; sister, Allison Ellsworth; paternal grandmother, Nancy Ellsworth; aunts and uncles, Bishop Mark Seitz, Mary Stockhausen, Steven (Jeanne) Seitz, Suzanne (Carl) Fanello, Cynthia (Tim) Felenniken, Robert (Toni) Seitz, Kathy (Dan) Strieter, Michelle (Michael) Lancaster, Patrick (Terri) Seitz, Gary (Corky) Ellsworth, Greg (Sherri) Ellsworth, Terry (Jody) Ellsworth; and many loving cousins.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Melvon Ellsworth and his maternal grandmother, Janet Seitz.

Friends may call at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 2597 Glendale Ave., (one quarter mile east of the corner of Cardinal Ln. and Glendale Ave.) from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 13 (TODAY) with a Parish Wake Service at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue at the church from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Thursday. The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the church with his uncle, Bishop Mark Seitz officiating. Burial will be in Allouez Catholic Cemetery.
