Pulaski - Anton "Tony" Homel, 100, Pulaski, passed away Tuesday, June 19, 2018, at a Green Bay hospital. The son of Louis and Catherine (Styczynski) Homel was born November 27, 1917, in the town of Maple Grove. On July 24, 1941, he married Dorothy Banaszynski at Assumption B.V.M. Church in Pulaski. Tony farmed in the town of Maple Grove for most of his life and later worked as a carpenter/contractor.

Tony was a member of Assumption B.V.M. Parish, where he belonged to the Holy Name Society. He enjoyed dancing, listening to Polka music and Daniel O'Donnell, and working on jigsaw and word search puzzles. Tony always enjoyed playing cards. He also liked traveling, and had taken several bus tours in different states over the years.

Survivors include four children: Dennis (Nancy Schultz) Homel, St. Paul, MN, Norma (Doug) Nelson, Suamico, Jerry (Susan Ellis) Homel, Suamico, and Russ (Mary Nooyen) Homel, Pulaski; nine grandchildren: David Homel, Jamie (John) Engelbert, Chad (special friend, Rebecca Vissers) Nelson, Kelly (Todd) Kelsey, Troy (Kathy) Gutzman, Mark (Tara Wilson) Homel, Kevin (Denise) Homel, Melissa (Tim) Anderson, and Tracy (Matt) Dessell; three step-grandchildren: John, Cathie, and Jean; 12 great-grandchildren; 11 step great-grandchildren; one brother-in-law, Edmund Jeziorski; nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

Tony was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy, on October 24, 2009; one daughter and son-in-law, Nancy (LeRoy "Corky") Gutzman; siblings: Celia (Ed) Holsen, Anna (Joe) Babiarz, Martha (Eugene) Gajewski, Harriet (Florian) Szprejda, Josephine (Harry) Gregorzewski, and Genevieve (Louie) Dahms; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Anton (Amanda), Frank (Lottie), Edward (Eleanor), Joseph (Pauline), Adolph (Phyllis), Roman (Lorraine), Casey (Helen), and Ervin (Dorothy) Banaszynski, Frances (Anton) Kozlowski, Nettie (Frank) Wielgus, Celia (Steve) Baranczyk, Clara Jeziorski, and Martha Banaszynski.

Friends may call at Assumption B.V.M. Church, 119 E. Pulaski Street, Pulaski, after 9:00 a.m. Tuesday. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at the church, Fr. Patrick Gawrylewski, O.F.M., presiding. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
