Bernice Faltynski Obituary
Faltynski, Bernice

Bernice Faltynski, Green Bay, passed away on Sunday, March 24, 2013 with her husband of 62 years at her side. She was the beloved wife of Roger Faltynski and a cherished mother and grandmother. Bernice was one of the world's gentle souls, always humble, modest and gracious. Her family was the center of her world and she lived her life in generous service to others. She was a devout Catholic who was pious but discreet in her faith. With a sympathetic heart for those in need, Bernice always put others first.

The highlight of her life was having her grandchildren in her care an entire day, spoiling them at will. She took great pride in cooking and gardening and took particular joy in her children's musical and academic accomplishments. Bernice was athletic her entire life, enjoying skiing, horseback riding, ice skating, swimming at the YMCA and bowling with her husband.

She imparted the most important life lessons to her children through example; she celebrated and loved each of her children unconditionally. Thank you, mom, for giving us life, love, and showing us in your graceful way, the importance of sacrificing for others. Rest peacefully, in Heaven, until we are all together again.

Bernice was born in Pulaski, WI to the late Casimir and Martha (Revolinski) Stankiewicz. Survivors include her husband, Roger; six children, Denis (Betty) Faltynski, Hudson, Ohio; Clare Signorelli (Marvin Carollo), De Pere; Mary (Samuel) Frantz, Green Bay; Joan (Timothy) VanSeveren, Green Bay; Lynn (Kevin) Heslin, Green Bay; Karen (Patrick) Webb, Green Bay; 14 grandchildren; one brother, Wayne (Annie) Stankiewicz; one sister, June Goltz.

She was preceded in death by seven siblings, Elsie Markiewicz, Eleanor Meulemans, Irene Gore, Harry Stankiewicz, Richard Stankiewicz, Marie Stankiewicz, and Evelyn Foss.

Friends may call at St. Mary of the Angels Church, 645 S. Irwin Avenue on Wednesday from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Funeral Mass 12:30 p.m. Wednesday with Fr. Patrick Gawrylewski, OFM officiating. Entombment will follow at Allouez Chapel Mausoleum. Proko-Wall Funeral Home is assisting the family. Online condolences may be sent to the Faltynski family at www.prokowall.com.

The family wishes to thank the exceptional staffs at Wyndemere Estates and Unity Hospice for the outstanding care provided. In lieu of other expressions of sympathy the family has set up a memorial fund with the of Brown County in the pursuit of a cure that took Bernice's life. Your donation will continue to help preserve her fighting spirit.
