Donna Marie Cox

Donna Marie Cox, 73, of Green Bay, Wisconsin, peacefully went home to be with Jesus while surrounded by family on December 29, 2020.

A memorial service to honor Donna and celebrate her homecoming will be held at 2:00 pm on January 16, 2021 at Center Church, 1280 N Cooper Rd, Gilbert, AZ 85233. All are welcome to join us. The service will also be livestreamed via Facebook. For those wishing to join remotely please follow this link at 2:00 (MST) on January 16: facebook.com/heidi.h.landis. A second service will be held in Green Bay later this year when travel and gathering restrictions have loosened.

Donna was born in Green Bay, Wisconsin to Donald and Kathleen (Vlies) Chaudoir on March 29, 1947. She graduated from Preble High School and married Ross Hoerchler in 1965. They had two children, Chris and Heidi. Donna moved to Arizona in 1982 and later earned a technical degree from Apollo College as a medical assistant. She enjoyed using her administrative gifts in the front office of Medical Office Center in Mesa, Arizona. She spent the bulk of her career as an administrative assistant at her beloved Motorola. She ended her work years at Systems 2000, an engineering firm that she helped build from the ground up.

Donna gave her life to Jesus in 1980. She loved her God very much and found her most peaceful and joyful moments in her relationship with Him. The thing she treasured most on this earth was her family. She was an incredibly loving, generous, and faithful mom and the best grandma ever. She adored her grandchildren (and great grandchildren) and preferred their company over just about anyone. She played with them and spoiled them when they were little and religiously checked her Instagram and Snapchat to keep up with them as they got older. She made them feel like they were the most important people ever because to her they were. Donna also had many friends who she truly cherished. She loved to laugh and to make others laugh. She was both sweet and spunky and will be greatly missed.

Donna is preceded in death by her parents Donald and Kathleen, her sister Linda (Gallagher) Larsen and her nephew Matthew Gallagher.

Donna is survived by her son Christopher (Stacy) Hoerchler, daughter Heidi (Dan) Landis, her sister Sandy (Randy) Soletski, her grandchildren Madison Garrison, Maxwell Hoerchler, Mackenzie (Ian) Williams, Mason (Emily) Landis, Tatum Landis and her fiancé Josiah Caldwell, and Haydyn Hoerchler, great-grandchildren Brayden and Greyson Williams, nieces and nephew Anna Gallagher and Sindy, Dawn Soletski and Randall Soletski, Jr., special cousin Mary Ann (Larry) Rollins and their children, special aunt Marie Vlies and her family, first husband Ross Hoerchler, mother-in-law Lila (Hoerchler) Lambert and many other in-laws, cousins and friends.
