Green Bay - Enola (known by friends as Nola) Rentmeester, 89, died peacefully, on May 15, 2018 while surrounded by her family. She was born on February 16, 1929, in Green Bay to John and Caroline (Kerkhoff) Verheyen.

On August 23, 1947, Nola was united in marriage to Fabian Rentmeester at St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church in Green Bay.

She was responsible to manage business operations for the family building business and rental properties. Nola was an active member of the Elks Lodge 259 in Green Bay for over 40 years. She played bridge in various groups for over 60 years. Nola was happiest cooking and creating new recipes. She liked to golf, bowl, cross-stitch, and solve puzzles. Nola enjoyed spending time with her family and friends at the cottage in Crivitz, Wisconsin. She spent many years going to Canada to fish with her loving husband. Nola was a member of St. Elizabeth Seton, and then St. John the Baptist Parish.

She was survived by her husband of 71 years, Fabian; and their four children, Earl (Mary), Phyllis Moore of Clinton, NY, Linda, and Ron (Sue); 13 grandchildren, Todd (Jeanne), Renee (Tyler) Davis, Kerri, Jeremy (Tara), Jay Hancock, Julie Hancock, Eric (Karen) Hancock, Ryan Moore, Jonathan Moore, Lindsey (Jarod) Petrie, and Matt (Autumn), Casey, Mandy (Jesse) Markusen; 11 great-grandchildren; her brothers and sisters, Florence Lhost-Gardipee, Mary Kunesh, Eileen Sigl, Bernard (Elaine) Verheyen, Darrell Verheyen; and her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, and many nieces and nephews.

Nola was preceded in death by brothers, Elmer, Alvin, John Jr., Clayton, Harold, Raymond, Cliff, Cletus, Cyril; sisters, Evelyn Guerts, Delores, Judy Devroy, Juleen Scray; brothers-in-law, Bud Guerts, Will Lhost, Joe Kunesh, Lloyd Sigl, Carl Gardipee, Bernard Scray; sisters-in law, Lillian Verheyen and Elaine Verheyen; and daughter-in-law, Patricia Baeten Rentmeester.

Friends may call at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 2597 Glendale Ave. (one quarter of a mile east of the corner of Cardinal Ln. and Glendale Ave.) from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. with Rev.
