De Pere - Gary William Schussman, 70, De Pere, passed away on Tuesday, May 15, 2018. He was born on July 2, 1947, at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac, WI, to the late Dennis and Elda (Hensel) Schussman. Gary was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul's United Church of Christ in the Village of Pipe, WI. He grew up on his parents' farm in Pipe and attended the public school at Calumetville at Garnet and graduated from New Holstein HS on June 3, 1965. Gary was a member of the Calumetville Builders 4-H club for ten years, winning many blue and champion ribbons for their sheep and swine at the FDL County Fair. He was a WI, All Star Farmer in HS, receiving a trip to Madison in 1965. Gary attended the Due Page Horticulture School in West Chicago in 1965. He was a grower and manager of the Riverside Greenhouse in Appleton in 1975 Gary was also employed as a production manager at Greiling Farms in Denmark. He proudly served in the Armed Forces, stationed at Randolph Air Force Base in TX. Gary also served his community by volunteering at the Calumet Fire Department. On October 31, 1981, Gary married Agnes De Groot at St. Phillip the Apostle Catholic Church in Green Bay. His interests included fishing, hunting and gardening. He was also particularly proud of his first car, a 1964 Corvair.

Gary will be deeply missed by his wife of 37 years, Agnes; sister, Audrey (Roy) Frank, Germantown; nephew, Bruce Schussman and friend Shannon and Bruce's children, Logan, Devin, and Leah, Milwaukee; niece, Lori and Rob Clements and Katelyn, Plymouth, MN; aunts, Irma Palmer, Rosendale, Alice Mitchell of Eldorado and Artis Schussman of Chilton; cousins, Roger, and Rose Palmer, Muskego; Jerome and Lisa (Palmer) Haser, Lamartine; Susan, John, and Nancy Mitchell, Arlyn and Charlene Hensel, Eldorado; Marilyn (Hensel) Hoch, Douglas, Randy, Dwight, Danny Schussman, Brenda (Schussman) Kempen, Fond du Lac; brothers-in-law, Larry, Richard, and Mike (Karen) De Groot; sisters-in-law, Mary Letter, Florence Bartman, Marge (Dick) Forsytle, Sue Walenta, Loretta (Paul) Paisier, Ellie (Mike) Lucas, and Rosemary (Rick) Brunner. Gary is further survived by many other family and friends.

In addition to his parents, Gary was preceded in death by his brother David Schussman in 1958; paternal grandparents, Harry and Delilah (Sachs) Schussman; maternal grandparents, Otto and Frieda (Krueger) Hensel; three uncles, William Mitchell, Gerald B. Palmer and Alvin (Evelyn) Hensel, and Lester Schussman.

Visitation will be at Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason St., on Sunday, May 20, 2018, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Funeral Service at 11:30 a.m. with Chaplain Robert Nooker officiating. Online condolences may be expressed at
