Gloria Sell Obituary
Gloria Sell

Green Bay - Gloria Jean Sell, 68, formerly of Peshtigo, passed away June 10, 2018 at her home in Green Bay. Born January 12, 1950 in Menominee, Michigan, she was raised by her adopted parents the late LeRoy and Laura Hopkins. April 13, 1974 she married her love, Myron F. Sell and he preceded her in death Dec. 26, 2012. In June of 1981 she met her birth mother, Dorothy (McMahon) Wood and her birth family.

Gloria was an apartment manager for 15 years in Texas, then a manager for the Dollar Store in Shawano for 3 years and most recently as a babysitter extraordinaire otherwise known to her many kids as "Grandma Glo" for 18 years.

She was an avid Packer fan, well known for her love of flowers, playing cards, cooking and entertaining for family and friends. Many will miss her ever filled bottomless M & M jar. She enjoyed decorating inside and out for every holiday, with Christmas being her and Myron's favorite holiday. The one thing she loved the very most was her son and grandchildren and there wasn't a prouder Grandma out there.

Gloria is survived by her son, Shawn (Angela) Sell; her grandchildren, Chyna and Mason Sell, Ryan Simonar and Keegan Mepyans; 2 sisters,

Annette (Tom) Bow and Jody Biehl; 5 brothers, Ron (Lori) Leavitt, Butch (Patti) Wortner, Ed (Lynn) Wortner, Jim (Janice) Wortner, and MJ (Karin) Wood.

Along with her adopted parents LeRoy & Laura and her husband, Myron, she was preceded in death by her birth mother, Dorothy;

2 brothers, Michael Hopkins and Joe McMahon; and a sister Julie Wood.

Visitation will be held Thursday, June 14, at Berth & Rosenthal Funeral Home in Peshtigo (331 S. Ellis Ave.) from 4:00 pm until time of services at 7:00 pm.

The family would like to send a special thanks to those family and friends who helped to make this last year a good one for Gloria. A very heartfelt thank you to Tara, Darcy and Lori from Unity Hospice. We could not have managed without you. The love and care you gave to Gloria and to our family is beyond words.
