James "Jim" Joseph Pivonka

New Franken - James "Jim" Joseph Pivonka, 67, New Franken, WI, passed away Saturday, November 16, 2019. He was born on October 30, 1952, in Green Bay to Clifford and Leona (Schott) Pivonka.

Jim graduated from Premontre High School, Class of 1971. He enlisted into the U.S. Air Force from 1971 to 1975 during the Vietnam War and was stationed in South Korea from 1974 to 1975. Upon returning to Green Bay, he worked at Badger State Rebuilders for 38 years.

Jim met the love of his life, and his best friend, Maureen Arcand in 1989. They were united in marriage on July 27, 1990.

Jim enjoyed camping, fishing, and time spent at cottages with family. He also enjoyed bowling in a men's league for many years. Jim had been looking forward to working on his 1936 Ford in his retirement.

Survivors include his wife, Maureen; daughters, Stephanie Pivonka and Michelle (Jason) Rieckmann; his sister, Joan (Gary) Daniels; father-in-law, Dick Arcand; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, John Pivonka and Joe Pivonka; and his mother-in-law, Virginia Arcand.

Visitation will take place at Blaney Funeral Home, 1521 Shawano Ave., from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, November 21; followed by a Parish Wake Service at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue at St. Kilian Catholic Church, 2508 St. Kilian Rd, New Franken, WI, from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the church with Rev. Lukee Villaluz officiating. Inurnment will be in Allouez Chapel Mausoleum at a later date.
