Jennifer R. Hafeman (Brunner)

Green Bay - Jennifer R. Hafeman (Brunner), 65, Green Bay, fell asleep in death on March 30, 2021, at home with her loving family by her side. She was born on November 26, 1955, in Green Bay to Melvin and Donna (Froelich) Brunner and grew up on the east side of Green Bay, where she lived until she married her high school sweetheart Colby Hafeman on April 24, 1976. Jen battled with MS for decades, but thru it all she was a dedicated wife and mother to her 3 children. She was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses and the teachings in the Bible brought her much comfort. Even in her final days, her faith helped her to remain strong.

Throughout her life she enjoyed many hobbies like crossword puzzles, watching games shows, playing cards with friends, and crocheting intricate doilies, which she shared with many of us. We all saw her mild personality, but we loved her witty sense of humor. Over the last couple weeks, even with her limited energy, she shared her humor and made us all laugh many times.

Jen will be deeply missed by her husband, Colby; children, Heather (Eric) Smet, Aaron (Crystal) Hafeman; siblings, Timothy (Julie) Brunner and Traci (Joel) Breitrick; mother-in-law, Joan Hafeman and many nieces, nephews, family and friends.

In addition to her mother and father, Jennifer is preceded in death by her son, Shane Hafeman; and father-in-law Marvin Hafeman.

Special thanks to Betty, Colette, and Jean at Home Instead and those at Unity for your help in caring for Jen. We cherish our friends too, who have been by our side to support us.

Jen's Memorial service will be held virtually on Saturday, April 10th at 2pm via Zoom. Please email the family at for the Zoom information or contact the family directly.

Colby, Tim, Traci, and Families,
So so sorry to hear about the passing of Jennifer.
Stu and I listened to the zoom service and especially enjoyed the music.
I wish we had kept better contact. My Mom, Blossom, always kept us updated on all of you as she had contact with Donna plus Ron & Carolyn.
As an older paternal first cousin, we have many great memories of our younger years with all of you plus Bud, Donna, Gramma Julia, Grampa John, and extended family members.
We will have to organize a Brunner clan zoom family reunion in the near future to say hello again.
Our thoughts and prayers go with you during this time of adjustment, Life is such a journey. Blessings to all.

So sorry to hear about Jen. We were all classmates at Preble, Class of 1974. I had several classes where Jen and I sat next to each other and have great conversations.

I have a sister-in-law who has battled MS for about thirty years, so I know what all of you have been dealing with. You feel so helpless as you watch the disease progress. Cherish the memories. Prayers to all.

What a precious sister she was. Our love and prayers are with her family. Jim and I used to see Colby and Jen at Planet Fitness on the Green Bay East Side. She truly was enjoyable to be around, true with wit and encouragement. How wonderful it will be to see her again in Paradise on earth, full of energy and perfectly healthy. Love Jim and Deb Fraser
