Joseph Pisczor Obituary
Joseph "Joe' S. Pisczor, 93, Green Bay, formerly of Armstrong Creek, passed away Monday, Oct. 24, 2011, at Odd Fellows Nursing Home, Green Bay. He was born Dec. 30, 1917, in Brainard, Minn., to Stanley and Antonia (Graca) Pisczor.

Joe and his family moved to Armstrong Creek, in 1923, to operate the family farm. He enlisted in the U.S. Army on Dec. 6, 1941 and served until his honorable discharge in Oct. 28, 1945.

While on leave in 1945, Joe married Helen Klescewski at St. Stanislaus Kostka Catholic Church on June 9, 1945; she preceded him in death on Feb. 6, 2006. After his honorable discharge, he returned to Armstrong Creek and purchased the Red Owl Grocery Store. Joe and Helen operated the store for 25 years. After the grocery store, he worked for Goodman Forest Products until his retirement.

Joe is survived by daughters, Linda (Dennis) Heyrman, Loveland, Colo.; Karen (Hozea) Lock, Green Bay; and Christine (David) Beres, Fond du Lac; daughter-in-law, Betsy Pisczor, Green Bay; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Stanley and Antonia, wife, Helen; son, Jim; sister, Mary; and brothers, Tony, John and Walter.

Visitation will be on Friday, Oct. 28, from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at the St. Stanislaus Kostka Catholic Church, Armstrong Creek. Funeral Mass will follow at 11 a.m. with Monsignor Paul Koszarek officiating. Interment will be in the Pine Hill Cemetery, Armstrong Creek. Weber-Hill Funeral Home, Crandon is assisting the family.
