Marcella Antonneau Obituary
Marcella Antonneau

Allouez - Marcella Augusta (Strehlow) Antonneau left this earth to join her Savior, Jesus Christ on Tuesday, June 12, 2018. Marcella was born on April 18, 1927 to the late Ira and Ida Strehlow and raised on a farm in the Town of Carlton in Kewaunee County. She was baptized and had her first communion at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Carlton. She was raised with hard working country values, shared them with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and worked hard all of her life to show the value of that upbringing to others. She attended Kewaunee High School and graduated from the Green Bay Badger Business College in 1946. She was employed by Prange's as a secretary in the buyers' offices and later by the Green Bay Public School District. In 1948 she married the love of her life, Robert Antonneau. They were married 44 years until his passing in May 1992.

Marcella loved her church and was an active member of Redeemer Lutheran Church for decades. She enjoyed serving on the Altar Guild and attending Bible studies. She was also a volunteer for the American Red Cross and for the Concerned Hearts Club at Bellin Memorial Hospital. Gardening, traveling, and spending time with family and friends were most important to her. She enjoyed attending plays and shows, especially at the Weidner Center; political campaigns and discussions always sparked her interest. Marcy was an avid Green Bay Packers fan her entire life. She was known for her great cooking and baking…..her molasses cookies were out of this world and a request for more was often heard from her grandkids. Marcy valued education and encouraged all of her children and grandchildren to be life-long learners as she was.

Marcella is being met at Heaven's gate by her husband, Robert; her parents, Ira and Ida; sister, Janet (Strehlow) Kliment; special friend, Gerhardt Zeitler; and a host of many other friends and relatives.

She is survived by her three loving children, Janet Anderson (Rod); Marlene Bandoian and Ronald Antonneau; as well as 6 grandchildren and their spouses, Sarah Anderson Zeitler (Chris); Rebecca Anderson Boeke (Chris); Brian Anderson (Amy); Greg Bandoian (special friend Keiara); Ksusha Bandoian; and Alec Bandoian. She also leaves behind 5 great-grandchildren; special friend Elmer Dotz; many nieces, nephews and friends.

Family and friends may visit at Cotter Funeral Home, 860 N. Webster Ave., De Pere, on Friday, June 15, 2018 from 1:00pm until 6:00pm. Visitation continues on Saturday at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 210 S. Oneida St., Green Bay, from 9:00am until 11:15am. Funeral service will be held for Marcy at 11:30am with Rev. Paul Pett officiating. Interment in Allouez Cemetery. Online condolences may be sent to

In lieu of flowers a memorial fund is being established for the Concerned Hearts Club of Green Bay in Marcy's name.

Our family would like to thank Marcy's caregivers: Dorothy Krauss and Laurie Thyes, as well as the doctors and caregivers at Bellin Health.
