Marilyn R. Rukamp, 76, Abrams, passed away on Wednesday, January 1, 2014 after complications associated with Alzheimer's disease. She was born on July 24, 1937 to the late Lester and Mildred (Pahnke) Gilson in Green Bay. On October 18, 1958, she married Robert Rukamp in Green Bay.

Marilyn was employed at Conger Industries for many years and retired in 1998. She was an avid bridge player and loved to play all kinds of cards. Marilyn enjoyed spending time by the water and her yearly trips to Florida. She liked to watch tennis and baseball, was a dog lover and an avid reader. Marilyn volunteered at the New Zoo. She and Bob wintered in Texas and Marilyn was a proud winter Texan. She cherished her family, especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Bob; her daughter, Pam Rukamp and Tom Burkard of Crystal Falls, Michigan; her son, Bob (Missy) Rukamp of Green Bay; and three grandchildren, Nathan and Jackson Rukamp and Elizabeth (Jesse) Crain; two brothers, Merle (Kathy) Gilson and Dick (Claire) Gilson; and three sisters-in-law, Karen Hobbins, Barbara (Carl) Arnoldi and Micki (Ron) Hammer.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Brenda; a brother-in-law, Bill Hobbins; a sister-in-law, Irene Gilson; and her father-in-law, Bernard Rukamp.

Visitation will take place Monday, January 6, 2014 from 3 to 6 pm at Lyndahl Funeral Home, 1350 Lombardi Avenue, where the funeral service will take place at 6 pm with Ann Froelich officiating. Inurnment will be at Allouez Catholic Cemetery.

A memorial fund has been established in Marilyn's name.
