Mary Lynn Miller
Mary Rentmeester Miller, passed away 29 March 2021 from ALS/Lou Gehrig's disease. Mary was born in Green Bay, Wisconsin to the late Florence (Huben) and Harold Rentmeester. She graduated in 1976 from Denmark high school and subsequently joined the US army. Mary served as a flight dispatcher for 8 years with tours of duty at Fort Rucker, AL, Seoul, Korea and Mons, Belgium. It was her tour of Belgium that fueled her life-long love of travel and Europe. She took great pleasure introducing her family to her favorite destinations. While in Belgium, Mary also completed her Bachelors of Science in Business Management, graduating in 1984 from the University of Maryland. After being honorably discharged from the military, Mary built a career in business development at, Verizon, American Express, the US government and nonprofit development at the Salvation Army and Oklahoma City Museum of Art, retiring in 2015.
It was her family that provided her greatest joy. Mary loved them fiercely and was so proud of them and their families. Mary also enjoyed cooking, baking, reading, Pilates, Green Bay Packer football and throwing dinner parties.
Mary is survived by her husband Kelly, her daughter Jennifer (Jacob) Sevin, Gonzales LA, her son Sam (Katelyn), Kessler AFB, Biloxi MS. Grandchildren: Layton and Brooklyn Sevin, Gonzales LA, and Cole and Sophie Miller, Biloxi Ms. Mary is further survived by brothers, Mike (Arlene) and Dan (Susan) Rentmeester, as well as nieces and nephews, Molly (Kelly) Delsart, Mark (Jennifer) Rentmeester and Jessica (Wade) Schmechel, Justin (Amber) Rentmeester, and their families in Wisconsin.
A memorial service will be held at Parkway Funeral Home on Friday, April 9, 2021 at 10:00 am with visitation one hour prior.
While Mary will be laid to rest in Mississippi, A celebration of life will also be held in Green Bay at a later date.
The family has requested that memorial gifts be designated in memory of Mary Lynn Miller to ALS Research at Mayo Clinic.
