Green Bay, WI - Nancy Jean E. DeBeck, age 81, lifetime resident of Green Bay, died peacefully early Sunday afternoon, July 8, 2018 at her home of 50 years.

Nancy was born in Green Bay on February 27, 1937 to Edward and Anna (Dirks) Gay. She was a graduate of St. Joseph Academy. On July 9, 1960, she married Leland DeBeck at St. Willebrord Catholic Church, Green Bay. Nancy was mainly stay at home mother that watched her children grow up before her eyes. She also previously held jobs at Hoeffer Glass and Red Owl. Nancy enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren at her home or traveling to where they were camping, visiting, or residing. She also enjoyed playing cards, especially with her children and grandchildren; doing crossword puzzles; crocheting blankets; helping with bingo at Grancare Nursing Center and traveling throughout the Midwest.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Leland Joseph DeBeck: her children: James DeBeck, Tawas, MI; Theresa (Joseph) Roemaat, Howard; Tim (Lois) DeBeck, Allouez; Steven (Suzanne) DeBeck, Howard; Lynn (close friend, Matt Olmeda) DeBeck, Green Bay; and Amy (Joseph) Rohr, Green Bay; eight grandchildren: Amanda Roemaat, Tiffany (fiancé, Kiley) Roemaat, Brittany (Nick) Garvey, Joshua DeBeck, Dennis DeBeck, Paul DeBeck, Shelby Rohr and Joel Rohr; and great-grandson, Shane Garvey. She is further survived by her sister, MariAnn Hyska; along with many in-laws, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Anna and Edward Gay; her parents-in-law, William and Doris DeBeck; and brother-in-law, Jerome Hyska.

Friends may call at St. Jude Catholic Church, 1420 Division St., from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the church.
