Burckle, Robert J. "Bob"

Robert J. "Bob" Burckle, 84, Green Bay, passed away Wednesday, April 10, 2013, at a local hospital. He was born February 5, 1929, to the late George and Hildegard (Beth) Burckle in Green Bay. Bob graduated from East High School in 1948. He served his county in the United States Army from 1951-1953. Robert worked in the Art Department at Channel 2 TV Station for over 25 years. He was a talented artist and enjoyed performing in his younger years. Bob enjoyed volunteering, singing in various choirs, golf with his friends, and going on an enjoyable cruise.

Survivors include his two brothers, Clayton (Audrey) Burckle, Lloyd (Evelyn) Burckle; sister, Rosemary (George) Sarkis; nieces, nephews, special godchildren, other relatives and many friends.

He was preceded a sister, Beth (Jack) Bluma; nieces, Christine, Karen, Kathleen Sarkis and a nephew, Michael Bluma.

Friends and family may call from 4 - 7 p.m. Friday, April 12, at Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason St. A parish wake service will be led by Deacon Tom Mahoney at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue Saturday from 12 - 1 p.m. at St. Francis Xavier Cathedral, 139 S. Madison St. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Saturday, at the church with Rev. John Girotti officiating. Entombment will be at the Allouez Chapel Mausoleum.
