Hettmann, Marion "Sis"

Marion "Sis" Hettmann, 83, Green Bay, died suddenly Thursday, April 24, 2014. She was born May 5, 1930, in Fontenoy to Alex and Emily (Slatky) Wanish Sr.

Marion was a proud graduate of St. Joseph Academy, Class of 1948, and was very proud of her Bohemian heritage. On June 9, 1951, she married Robert Hettmann at All Saints Catholic Church in Denmark. He preceded her in death on April 26, 1990. While Bob was alive, they enjoyed going "up north" and traveling. Marion loved NASCAR and watching baseball, especially the Atlanta Braves. She always had a dog to love in her home and dearly missed her dog, Tuki.

Marion is survived by four sisters-in-law and one brother-in-law, Helen Wanish, Ken (Agnes) Hettmann, Elaine Kane, LaVerne (Bob) Kane, Marlene (Jim) De Moulin; and the Hettmann, Wanish, Kane and De Moulin families.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bob; brother, Alex Wanish, Jr.; brother-in-law, Pat Kane; and nephew, Tyler Kane.

Friends may call at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 936 Ninth St., from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the church with Rev. Ryan Krueger officiating. Entombment will be in Allouez Chapel Mausoleum. Blaney Funeral Home is assisting the family. To send online condolences, please go to
