Joe "Guiseppe" Pandolfo Obituary
Joe "Guiseppe" Pandolfo passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 2, 2012. Joe was born to Vincenzo Pandolfo and Concetta Davi on February 19, 1922 in Philadelphia, PA. As a young boy, his family moved to Swedesboro, NJ to farm asparagus. During WWII, he worked in an ammunitions factory in support of the war. On February 9, 1946, he married the former Catherine Lisa of Paulsboro, NJ. She preceded him in death on July 10, 2004 after 58 years of marriage. Joe and Catherine farmed in Swedesboro, while raising three sons, and working for 28 years at the Exxon Mobil Refinery in Paulsboro, NJ. He retired in 1984. Due to health concerns, Joe moved to Green Bay, WI in 2006.

Joe is survived by two sons, Anthony (Linda) Pandolfo, Roswell, GA and their children, Therese (Michael) Fabian and Samuel Pandolfo (Katie Corsetti), both of Roswell, GA; Erin (Jeff Lockhart) Scheaffer, Boston, MA; Kathleen Scheaffer, Toronto, Ontario, Canada; and Joseph (Barbara) Pandolfo and their daughter, Linda Pandolfo, all of Green Bay, WI. Joe just missed the birth of his first great-grandson, Greyson Fabian, who was born on May 3, 2012.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Vincenzo and Concetta; his wife, Catherine; his son, Vincent Pandolfo; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Antonio and Santa Lisa, Winnie & Joseph Lisa, and numerous other family and friends.

Visitation and a memorial service will be held on Wednesday, May 9, 2012, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the Landolfi Funeral Home, Paulsboro, NJ. Interment will be at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Swedesboro, NJ, immediately following.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established for The Mike Giffin Memorial Park in Fort McCoy, FL. It provides a playground, library, computer lab and services for children in a remote rural area of Fort McCoy. Mike Giffin was a philanthropist, as was Joe, and was the brother-in-law of his son, Anthony. Donations can be sent to 14351 NE 190th Lane, Fort McCoy, FL 32134.

In addition, in lieu of flowers, his son Joseph asks that donations be sent to My Brother's Keeper, in Green Bay, WI. My Brother's Keeper is an organization headed by Harry Sydney, three time NFL Super Bowl champion and NFL coach, which stresses "Straight Talk & Sound Direction" for boys and men. Living with integrity, respect & standards guide these men to be responsible and accountable, taking control of their lives. Donations can be sent to 1039 West Mason Street, Green Bay, WI 54303.

The Pandolfo family wishes to thank, with deep appreciation, Allouez Parkside Assisted Living Community, Green Bay, WI, for their great care of Dad over the past 2 years. You, along with his friend Martin, made his life special while he was in your care. The family also wishes to thank both Blaney Funeral Home of Green Bay, WI, and Landolfi Funeral Home of Paulsboro, NJ, for their assistance and care at this difficult time.
