Tom Morgans Obituary
Tom Scott Morgans, 68, Died Wednesday February 1, 2017 at Bay Harbor facility in Saumico, Wisconsin.
He leaves his wife, of 33 years, Cathy Benoit Morgans. His 4 brothers; Mark Allen Morgans of Lake Geneva, Daniel Todd Morgans of Horicon, Wisconsin, James Paul Morgans of Horicon, Wisconsin, Steven Kent Morgans of Johnson Creek, Wisconsin and 2 sisters; Nancy Jo Morgans Allen of Hyattsville, MD and Rebecca Marie Morgans Just of Kingsburg, California, as well as many nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
Tom was active in Boy Scouts all through his younger years was a Boys State Representative and earned his Eagle Scout.
Tom was a rocker at Heart. In the mid and late 60's Tom was a lead singer in several bands, most including his brother Mark. They were the Squires, Esquires, Six Pack, Selective Circus and Shotgun.
Tom attended University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee and graduated with a degree in Education/History.
Tom had a dream and that was to have a career that included working with his family and friends. In 1973 he started Pipe Dreams, a record and pipe store. At Pipe Dreams Peek there were 4 stores; The first store was in Sheboygan, Wisconsin followed by Green Bay, Appleton and Wausau. Tom also opened 3 waterbed stores all under the Dreams Inc. label. At the stores peak all four of Tom's brothers worked in the business alongside Tom.
Tom met Cathy through Pipe Dreams and they shared many happy years together.
Tom lived his Dream and had a good life surrounded by friends and family. Rock on in Heaven Tom!
A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday February 8, 2017 at Resurrection Lutheran Church located at 1024 Shawano Avenue in Green Bay Wisconsin. Visitation is at 10:00a.m. Service at 11:00a.m. Simply Cremation is assisting the family. Please visit www.simplycremationgb.com to send the family a condolence.

I recently resurrected my album collection, a substantial portion purchased at Pipe Dreams in Sheboygan. Thank you for being there and being a refuge during my youth. My love of music is deep. Keep on rockin!

Dear Cathy Was so sorry to read of Tom's death. My deepest sympathy to you. I often thought of Tom & hoped that he was doing well in his new home. I hope that you will find comfort in all your memories. I only wish that I would have known Tom "back then". RIP Tom & enjoy the music of the Angels.

I'm sorry to find that Tom passed away. He was my customer starting 40 some years ago, as I called on his stores, but haven't seen him for quite a while. Tom always treated me well, I really did enjoy his sense of humor, and we never had a bad word.

Dear Cathy, family & friends of Tom.
Like all of you, I'm deeply saddened by the news of Tom's passing. My brother Glenn telephoned me this morning with the news giving me the chance to leave a few words on Tom's tribute wall. This means a lot to me.
We've all lost touch since I moved to Miami back in 1990, but the memories I carry with me remain fresh and vivid. In 1977 Tom gave me a chance to work in both Pipe & Sweet Dreams where I met all of you, his family, and many of his friends. We eventually all became friends as well, and I learned a lot from you during those years. Tom & Cathy believed in and trusted me. They helped me pick up early and important business skills. They were also very generous to me. I started as a waterbed installer and assistant at the record store. Then eventually they gave me a shot at sales in the waterbed store. In 1979, at the height of my career with Dreams Inc., I took the decision to go on an adventure, backpacking in Europe. Rather than being angry at losing one of their more versatile employees, they showed understanding and encouragement. When I returned inspired to study Spanish at UWGB, they took me in again, offering me the chance to work whenever I could. The entrepreneurial skills I picked up in those years have helped me since then, all over the world, literally. In 1981, the money I saved helped me finance a one year trip to Spain. When I returned from Spain in 1982, they welcomed me back again. I got my degree in 1986.
Cathy, Morgans family and friends, I just want you to know that I've made the most of everything you did for me, and I THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart.
Tom, our BIG TOMATO in the sky, we'll miss you and always love you.
