Adeline Simcik Obituary

Adeline Simcik

Green Bay - Adeline T. "Addie" Simcik, 94, passed away on Monday, April 12, 2021, with her family by her side. She was born in the Town of Eaton on February 16, 1927, to William and Elizabeth (Pivonka) Roznowski, the youngest of 12 children. Addie graduated from Green Bay East High School in 1945. On October 6, 1951, Addie married Joseph Simcik, in Green Bay. He preceded her in death on August 20, 1980.

Addie was involved in many local clubs and organizations, including the St Bernard Altar Society, Catholic Women's Club and the St. Vincent Auxiliary. She and her husband Joe were charter members of St. Bernard parish. Addie loved watching Packer games, golfing, playing cards, baking her famous chocolate chip cookies and apple pies, and traveling with friends and family throughout 29 states. With great joy, she watched her children and grandchildren in sporting events from grade school through college. Addie also enjoyed spending weekends in Three Lakes with family and close friends boating and sitting around the fire. During her empty nest years, Addie was a food service employee for the Green Bay Public School District.

Addie will be deeply missed by her children, Laurie (Larry) Blanchard, Queensbury, New York, Thomas (Megan) Simcik Green Bay; seven grandchildren Hilary (Rob) O'Brien, Courtney Blanchard (fiance', Esteban Loya), Kelly Simcik, Morgan (Mehul) Doshi, Kyle Simcik, Lawson Simcik and Ellie VanderLogt; three great grandchildren, Maya and Maddox Doshi and Charlotte O'Brien; two sisters-in-law, Marilyn Roznowski and Mollie Roznowski; and many other family and friends.

In addition to her husband and parents, Addie was preceded in death by her grandson, Brenten Blanchard, and her 11 siblings Harry, Clara, John, Raymond, Andrew, Michael, Sister Angela Marie, Sister Joselda, Mary, Leonard, and Helen.

Visitation will be at St. Bernard Catholic Church, 2040 Hillside Drive, from 9:30 a.m. until 11:15 a.m. on Friday April 16, 2021, with Rev. Mark VanderSteeg officiating the Funeral Mass at 11:30. Entombment will be at the Shrine of the Good Shepard Mausoleum. Online condolences may be expressed at www. Prokowall.com.

Addie's family would like to thank the physicians and nursing staff of Aurora BayCare Medical Center for their exceptional care.

Tom and Family,
I did not hear of Adelines passing till recently when I stopped by the Assisted Living. I was heartbroken to hear she passed away. I thoroughly enjoyed my time with her. She was always so kind and warm and always had a smile on her face. We all liked her so much. As the staff stated at allouez "I loved loved loved her".. she had a heart as big as gold. And she always looked forward to our visit as we did to see her. She truly is an angel. We will all miss her. I will never forget my time with her. She will always remain in our hearts. She loved all of her kids and grandkids. She used to talk so nicely about her family. Until we meet again Adeline
