FAIRBORN — Jane A. Clevenger, age 74, of Fairborn went to be with the Lord Sunday, July 18, 2021 surrounded by her loving family. She was born August 23, 1946 in Harriman, Tennessee; the daughter of the late Elmer Hayes McBee and Ava Nell (Nance) Frye. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Christopher Scott Kunkle; brother, Brian Patrick McBee; beloved husband of 50 years, Charles Edward Clevenger I; son-in-laws; Timothy Plummer and Dale Grody; and cousin, Robert "Bob" Slack. Jane is survived by her daughters, Deborah Plummer, Kimberly (Sammy) Merlo-Zuppardo, Kelley Grody; sons, Grant (Jennifer) Kunkle, Charles (Kathy) Edward Clevenger II, Michael Todd (Teresa) Clevenger; grandchildren, Brittany (Eric Bubeck) Harris, Brodie Dalton, Sammy Zuppardo, Gregorio Zuppardo, Adrianna Zuppardo, Brandon (Erin) Kunkle, Brooke (Anthony) Laino, Brent (Aly Petering) Grody, Gabriel Kunkle, Emma Kunkle, Krista Clevenger, Memory Clevenger, Reed Clevenger, Amber Clevenger, and Jewely Clevenger; great-grandchildren, Dylan, Nevan, Cameron, Carter, Mia, Bowen, Maxwell, Markie, Lillyanne, Skylar, Avionne; cousin, Greg (Missy) McBee; sister-in-law, Jackie (Jody) McBee-Runions; nephews, Sean (Kim) McBee, Christopher (Kelly Shore) McBee, and Timothy (Nancy) McBee; and many extended family and friends. Jane was a loving and devoted mother affectionally known as Nana "Nanny;" she taught her children to forgive and love unconditionally. She was a long-standing member of Fairborn Baptist Church and a devout Christian who shared her love for Jesus with her family and those she met. Jane was also known for her great cooking, quick-witted humor, great dance moves, and especially her comforting smile. In her free time, she loved vacationing with her family in Tennessee. The most important aspect in her life was her beloved family, and she will be missed by all who knew her. A visitation for family and friends will be held Thursday, July 22, 2021 from 4 PM to 7 PM at the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Road, Fairborn, OH 45324. A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 23, 2021 at 10 AM at the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home with long-time friend, Steve Stiglich, officiating. Burial will follow at Byron Cemetery. The family requests all family and friends to wear turquoise for Jane as this was her favorite color. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made out to Hospice of Dayton and the American Cancer Society in memory of Jane. Online condolences may be made out to the family at www.BeltonStroup.com.
