McGuire, Jr., Robert "Mac" Miller
May 5, 1975 - October 2, 2021
Robert "Mac" Miller McGuire, Jr., went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, October 2, 2021.
A memorial service with Masonic Rites celebrating his life will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, October 16, 2021 at Friendly Avenue Baptist Church in Greensboro, with Pastor Phil Whitt officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 2 p.m. prior to the services at the church.
Mac was born in Greensboro on May 11, 1975 to the late Robert Miller McGuire, Sr. and Janice Young Hunt. He graduated from East Forsyth High School in 1993 and worked as a sales rep for Magnum Venus Products. Mac was a 3rd Degree Master Mason and without a doubt he was proud of his Christian faith. He served as a deacon at Gate City Baptist Church and was an enormous part of the children's program as well as years spent with the youth ministry at Gate City Baptist Church and Daystar Baptist Church. Mac was the current president of the Cedarwood Pool Association and stayed active in his neighborhood and community. He coached his children in baseball, softball, basketball with JYL and played softball with the Gate City Baptist Church team and Greensboro Parks and Recreation. Mac was the BEST husband and father, never missing a single game, event or ceremony. He was very much a family man and would have done absolutely anything he could for them. He was a shining light who was loved by so many and will be missed by all who knew him. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Patrick and Myrthie McGuire and Bernis and Linda Young; and his stepfather, John Hunt.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 23 years, Michele Morrison McGuire; his three adoring children, Morgan Ashton McGuire, Matthew Alexander McGuire, and Mason Andrew McGuire; step-siblings, Brooks Hunt, Julie Hunt Lane and Angie Hunt; several step-nieces and step-nephews; and other extended family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK 73123.

It was my pleasure to know Mac at Gate City Baptist for years. He would light up a room when he entered it and his smile and laugh was so contagious. Miss you Mac. Love you Mac.
