Eloise Elizabeth Thornton Pace
Greenville
Eloise Elizabeth Thornton Pace, 85, of Greenville, went to be with her Lord and Savior on December 9, 2012 at home.
Born in Pickens County, she was the daughter of the late Gaines R. and Grace Garrison Thornton.
She retired from Greater Greenville Board of Realtors and was a faithful member of Augusta Heights Baptist Church. She loved her family with a Christian love and leaves a legacy that all members of the family strive to live up to.
She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 66 years, Clarence Edward "Bill" Pace; daughters, Linda Pace Moss (Jon V. Moss), Jan Pace Florence (Winston S. Florence); son, Clarence Edward "Eddie" Pace, Jr. (Angie Bryan Pace); nine grandchildren, Jon Jr. and Jason Moss, Warren, Tyler and Ryan Florence, Michael Bailey, Brittany, Kristen and Courtney Pace; nine great grandchildren; and her brother, Lewis Thornton.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Ed Thornton; two sisters, Emily Ramer and Margaret Foegelle; and granddaughter, Amy Pace.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 12, 2012 from 12:00 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown with the funeral service following at 1:30 p.m. in the chapel. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Augusta Heights Baptist Church, 3018 Augusta Street, Greenville, SC 29605 or Heartland Hospice, 421 SE Main Street, Suite 100, Simpsonville, SC 29681.
The family will be at the residence.

Eddie & Angie, Jan & Linda - I remember your Mom as one of the sweetest ladies at Augusta Heights. I'm praying for all of you at this difficlut time and hope you will find peace in knowing she is in a better place and as believers, we will all see her again one day.

This precious lady showed such grace even when she was so sick but she was a fighter. I am so sorry for your loss but she left a wonderful legacy. I will keep your family in my heart and prayers.

I remember your mom and dad and all you kids, I was a neighbor that lived down the street, my name is joey. I am so sorry to hear of your loss, but I am sure that you know you will see h er again and there will be no more pain or anything bad.
