Peggy Andrews Stephens, 87, widow of J.C. Stephens, died February 28, 2014 at Greenville Memorial Hospital.
A native of Callahan, FL, she was a daughter of the late William Milton and Elmira Hall Andrews, a retired secretary and member of Washington Baptist Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Jean Simonds of the home; a son, James Stephens and his wife, Kathi of Greer; one sister, Alice Harrell of Callahan, FL; 14 grandchildren, Brian Scott Davis of FL, Barry Davis of Killeen, Texas, Angela Bitz of Taylors, Michael Bitz of Greenville, Lynn and Danny Maggard of Sacramento, CA , Stephen and Audrey Jones both of Greer, Sandra Jones, Casey and Cathy Stephens, Kelli Robertson, Carmen and Jason Brown all of Greenville; 17 great-grandchildren, Kayla, Brittany, Alex, Amber, Rebecca, Caleigh, Kinsey, Kera, Jacob, Marinda, Parker, Henry, Marques, Melanie, Emma, Tim and Tara, and son-in-law, Wallace Jones and his wife, Ilene of Greer.
She was also predeceased by two daughters, Patricia S. Jones and Faith Annette Stephens.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday at Washington Baptist Church, conducted by Dr. Drew Hines and Rev. Joe Price. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Honorary escort will be the Dorcas Sunday School Class of Washington Baptist Church.
Visitation will be held 6 until 8 p.m. Sunday at The Wood Mortuary.
The family is at the home.
