Wanda Delores Rhodes Gosnell

Wanda Delores Rhodes Gosnell, a beautiful "Butterfly" with bright purple frills left this world at 9:34 p.m. on January 11, 2013. She made the transition to Heaven from McCall Hospice House with her loving family and friends by her side. She won her three year battle with cancer. Wanda showed us "how to do this thing".

She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Davis Gosnell, Sr. and her daughter, April, both of Greer; her son, Peter, Jr. and his wife, Leslie of Cypress Creek, N.C., five grandchildren, Patrick, Whitley, Melody, Cadence and Christian. Wanda was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Rhodes of Greer and Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Sanford of Asheville, NC.

She leaves behind one brother, Rev. Ronald Rhodes (Pam) of Piedmont, and one sister, Donna Adams (Pete) of Greer, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and in-laws, who were all the "apple of her eye". The "angels on her shoulder" were her co-workers at Internal Medicine in Greenville.

Wanda and Davis were members of Eastside Worship Center (Church of God) at 601 Taylors Road in Taylors, SC, where her celebration service will be held Monday, January 14, 2013 at 6:30 p.m. with visitation beginning at 5:00 p.m. prior to the service. Rev. Ernest Barr and Rev. Scott Wiggins will officiate.

Honorariums may be made to Samaritan's Purse, P.O. Box 3000, Boone, N.C. 28607-3000 or Metro Ministries, P.O. Box 695, Brooklyn, N.Y. 11237-0695.
