Cecil Sanders "Sandy" Morris, Jr.

Cecil Sanders "Sandy" Morris, Jr., 57, of Greenville, died Sunday, October 11, 2015.

Born in Greenville, he was a son of the late Cecil Sanders, Sr., and Imozelle Fowler Morris.

Sandy attended Freedom Baptist Church, was the owner of Sandman's Cleaning Service, and retired from Michellin. Sandy was a car enthusiast and enjoyed gardening, being outdoors, and camping.

He is survived by a sister, Jackie Bryant (Ralph); a niece, Jenna McCullar (Heath) ; and a nephew, Jared Bryant.

The visitation will be held Sunday, November 8, 2015 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Freedom Baptist Church. A graveside service will be held Monday, November 9, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Greenville Memorial Gardens.

Memorials may be made to Freedom Baptist Church, 1907 West Parker Road, Greenville, SC 29617.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family. Sandy was the best neighbor we could ask for and he is missed constantly! Everyday when I head home from work, I expect to see him working in the yard. It is heartbreaking to know he is gone- it just doesn't seem real. Even our dogs know something is wrong because they were so used to running over to great him! I can see the pups go stand at the edge of our driveway and look over for Sandy to be outside. Please know that we truly cared about him! We are all heartbroken and are praying for your family. Please let us know if there is anything we can do for you and your family.

Jackie I know how it feels to lose a dear loved one. It is the hardest thing you will ever face. My heart goes out to you and your family. A tragic loss . I remember all the good times you me and sandy had at all the carolina high football games. We laughed and had do much fun and riding downtown on main street. Wish I had kept in closer touch with the both of you. He will always have a place in my heart . You will be in my prayers and if you or your family need anything just let me know..hope we can keep in touch more. I called Sandy "son Sandy", he was a blessing given to me by his dad Cecil, mom Zelle, and Granny Fowler. He became a son to me when my son, Ricky, went to Heaven. He, indeed, did what a good son would do. What he did for me, he would do the same for anyone. He would be first to give his shirt off his back. He was a hard worker, smart, and had a sweet Christian spirit. I am comforted knowing I was able to tell him how much he meant to me. He will always be with me, on my mind, and forever in my heart.
To Son Sandy, I say, "Rest in peace love. I'll think of you as being in your second favorite place, Jones Gap", and your first with GOD and your family. I'm so heartbroken,and tearful.
To Jackie, Ralph, Jenny, Jared, Marie, and the rest of the Morris Family- I send my love,prayers of strength, comfort, and peace. I pray that GOD continues to comfort us.

I lived across from ya'll back in the early 70's. Sandy and my brother, Shawn, played together all the time. I am so sorry for your loss and the tragic circumstances. I will always remember his sweet smile and the twinkle in his eyes.
