Greenville - Ellen New Hiller, 88, passed from this life to the next on June 7, 2018.

Born on October 5, 1929 in Greenville, South Carolina. Ms. Hiller was a graduate of the Anderson Memorial Hospital School of Nursing, and spent her career serving children as a surgical nurse at Shriners Hospital for Children and Greenville Memorial Hospital.

She was predeceased by her parents, Francis Hugh McKee New Sr and Bessie Allen Harper New of Greenville, a sister Alice New Woodring and a beloved daughter in law, Mary Margaret Rivers Hiller.

She is survived by her siblings, Sarah New Gray, Weston Keys New (Mary) and Francis Hugh McKee New Jr. (Mona) as well as her four "loving sons" Joe William Hiller, Jr. and his wife Leslee, Randall Scott Hiller and his wife Janet, Robert Elliott Hiller and David Neil Hiller and his wife Tracy, along with her pride and joy, 11 grandchildren; William Ivan Hiller (Liz) JoLee Alyce Hiller, Randall Scott Hiller II(Courtney) Mary Ellen Hiller Bequette,(CJ), Carl David Hiller (Lindsey), Anne Rivers Hiller Borgelt (Alec), Savannah Eleanor-Ruth Hiller, Austin-Wallace Rivers Hiller(Mary Myers), Ellis Mattison-Scott Hiller Samuel James McKee Hiller, Noley-Wallace Brown Hiller and, her step grandson, Phillip Chevrier(Wendy) Her great grandchildren; Cooper William Hiller, Mary Grace, Jackson and Ansley Bequette, Gwendolyn Rivers Hiller and her step great grands Sophia Grace Chevrier, and Layla Michelle Jantzen.

She will be remembered for her soft spoken gentle spirit, her love of the outdoors and her great talent for sewing, her macaroni and cheese, but most especially for her love and devotion to her family.

A memorial service and celebration of her life will be held at St. Michael's Lutheran Church on June 23, 2018 at 11 a.m.
