Obituary Condolences

Ethelyn Berry Smith, of Rolling Green Village, passed away Monday, January 24, 2011 at her home.

She was a native of Greenville and the daughter of the late Samuel N. and Nelle Chapman Berry.

She was a 1933 graduate of Greenville High School and a 1937 graduate of Winthrop College where she graduated with honors. She taught for several years in Kershaw County.

Mrs. Smith was a homemaker and a communicant of Christ Church Episcopal.

She was preceded in death by her husband, the Reverend Lynn P. Smith in 1989 and her brother Harry G. Berry. She is survived by several cousins.

Funeral service will be at 3:00pm Thursday, January 27, 2010 in Markley Chapel at Christ Church. Private entombment will follow.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Lynn P. and Ethelyn Berry Smith Home Ministries Fund at Christ Church Episcopal, Greenville, SC or the Harry G. Berry Bioengineering Endowment at Clemson University, Clemson, SC.

We would like to thank the staff of Rolling Green Health Care, Ethelyn's person caregiver and friend, Keila Sullivan, and the staff of Lutheran Hospice for their loving care.
