Dear Rhonda, kids, grandkids & family,
It's no secret that Donald Mutz was a man much larger than life! He made an impact on everyone he met! His largeness included a heart of gold & a great sense of justice. (When he felt something was wrong, the wrong-doer would be challenged - a rare trait that takes guts!) When our house was being built in 1990, there was always laughter bursting from from the house whenever electrical work was being done. Not just chuckling...it was thunderous. I don't know how anyone working was able accomplish anything! Such verbal shennanigans! And, to this day (including our drive home yesterday from Donald's service) Bill can't tell a "Mutzie" story without completely losing it, and there I sit, waiting for the hysterical laughing to stop enough so that he can continue on with whichever story he is attempting to regale me with from his years of working on new houses with Donald. We can only imagine the void you are feeling, but that void will soon fill with wonderful memories. May you find a bit of comfort in knowing how much your husband, father, grandfather touched those who were blessed to have known him. Mutzie will be much missed, but never, ever forgotten!
With heartfelt sympathy,
Lynn & Bill Lavalette

Dear Rhonda,
Heartfelt condolences from Jody and I on Donald's passing. I always looked forward to working with "Mutzie". Whether Mutzie was helping me build our house in Pemberwick as my electrician, or Nellie and I doing tile work in your home, or working together at Headquarters, then Station 4 as firefighters, I will always treasure our friendship.

My condolences to Ronda, Derek, and Christina,. I will always remember Donald at the Glenville fire station where he worked. As a volunteer firefighter I would always stop in when he was working. I can remember countless times responding to calls with him in Eng 42, we even fought a few fires together. I always looked forward to his Sunday day shifts when we would all cook a big breakfast. When he worked the night shift I would go down and play cards with him and Zinger. He was a great friend and firefighter. Rest in Peace G.F.D. 20

Dear Ronda, Derek, and Christina,
I have many fond memories of Don at both the Central Fire Statin and at the Greenwich Boys' Club in the early 1970's. During my most active years with the Amogerone Volunteer Fire Company #1 in the 1970's Don was always ready to give a helping hand.
