Alfred Werben Obituary
Alfred Gerard Werben, 86, of Greenwich, CT, died on February 27, 2019. After graduating from Manhattan College, he served in the US Navy. In 1958, he joined Young & Rubicam advertising as a Traffic Coordinator and two years later became a Copywriter. Al saw service as a Creative Executive with Y&R in Germany, Mexico and Venezuela, retiring in 1998. He is survived by his wife Judith Wight Werben, his daughter Diana Mosher, and his grandsons Eric and Glen Mosher. There will be a Requiem Mass at St. Paul's Church, 84 Sherwood Avenue, Greenwich, CT,06831, at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 2, 2019.

Our most heartfelt condolences to Judy and the rest of Al's family. Al will be greatly missed! He was always such an optimistic and friendly neighbor who had a smile and a cheerful word for everyone.
Al's stories captivated our sons' interests and we often talked about what he told us long after we had seen him.
Judy, you are in our thoughts and prayers.

The Manhattan College alumni community shares the grief, and is now praying for our fellow alumni and the family at this time. The Alumni Office has been informed. As well as the Jasper Jottings community that I personally can reach. We are all a little poorer now. "No man is an island, entire of itself ... any mans death diminishes me". We are sorry for your loss.

Our hearts are saddened to hear that Al will no longer be here - to greet us in the morning - share a story or joke in the afternoon - and as a wonderful neighbor - usually in the company of his special wife, Judy. What wonderful friends they've been for our 20 years at Greenwich Hills! We thank Judy for personally sharing her loss with us and extend our sympathy to her, Al's daughter & grandsons over their loss of such a special man.
