Dr. Chiaramonte was my physician through my childhood. I have found memories of him. Hes was a smart caring physician and will surely be missed. I will never forget when I got to be in his commercial for the new allergy exposure program he was opening up downstairs.
Rest easy doc.

To The Chiaramonte Family:
Several of Dr. Chiaramonte's classmates from the Hopkins Grammar School Class of 1954 wish to offer their condolences and share their thoughts and memories:
Arthur Bober:
I was saddened to hear of the passing of Larry. We attended Sheridan Junior High, HGS, and Yale together and always considered Larry to be a wonderful person. He was a happy person and had a great will to succeed in life. We will always remember him fondly. May he rest in peace.
Jess Davis:
What terrible news. I'm all the more saddened because it was the virus that ended his life. I have many fond memories of Larry at HGS. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.
Stay vigilant in these troubled times. God bless!
Bob Evans:
I knew Larry from the time we began kindergarten at Beecher School in New Haven at the ripe old age of four. Larry had a love of life and was always there to serve and was probaly doing just that prior to his passing. He will be mourned and I wll miss him.
Carl Lindskog:
Larry most definitely personified in huge fashion the Hopkins mission of identifying and then attending to "the breeding up of hopeful youths." Lots of memories.

Christina, and the whole family: My sister, Brenda, just sent the obituary to me and my brother, John. We are all devastated to hear of the loss of your dad. We remember his laughter and warmth on his boat when we first moved to Old Greenwich in the 1970's and early 80's. My dad, Dr. John Vecchione (pulmonologist who knew your dad at LIC and in Greenwich) just passed Jan. 2019 of pulmonary related issues. And our mom passed March 5 this year. We are grateful we were able to be with our mom in the hospital before the quarantine prohibited it. But we, too, have not been able to have a service for her yet. Your dad was a brilliant, funny, kind, larger than life personality. I remember his voice and his laugh, as I was little then. I haven't met the rest of you, but Christina was very little, and I remember he loved you fiercely!!! We are sending so much love and our most heartfelt condolences. Your dad was a great man. And we are so sorry to hear about your mom, as well. Much love, Laura Vecchione (and John and Brenda)

I am pleased to of known and worked with Larry since I finished my training and allergy in 1977. There's so many things one wants to say about Larry and how important it was to me including the writing of our book on allergies along with Henry Ehrlich.
Larry was a brilliant physician, but more importantly I carry one, and I will always remember the great conversations we had through the years.

I am Larry's cousin and was devasted to learn of his passsing. Although Have not seen him at some of Cousin (16 of Us) Reunion picnics in New Haven at my brother Donald Paglia's house near Yale Bowl, We communicated via facebook and Linkedin to keep in touch.
Larry and I were only 4 years apart and he was the oldest of 16 cousins. His mother and mine were sisters ad we grew up as young boys in New Haven only 3 blocks apart. We all were so Proud of him going to Yale and then Yale med school.
We had lots of fun at our Puorto Cottage in West Haven with his sailboats and I brougt him to the New Haven Catholics Club where he med Ann Marie and I was his Best Man at their wedding. Larry was a great fun guy to be around and always solved any problem at hand whether it was sailing above the waves and heavy wind to get back before the storm or finding the best fishing area to bring hime some porgies or bluefish from the LI Sound.
I and all of us will miss his smile and jokes and wit to keep the party rollding.
God Bless you all Lauren, Christine, Mary, Gregory and all the grandchildren as we know he is in Heaven now watching out for us.
