I remember Coach Hannigan as my Central Junior gym and football coach. He was the best! I often think of him as great role model and teacher of life values. I had the fortunate opportunity of bumping into him over the years and telling him so. A special man.

June and the girls, so sorry to hear of
Mike passing. My wife had back surgery, so I was unable to attend services. He was a terrific physical educator, a great Marine and a wonderful friend. He will be missed.

My condolences to the Hannigan family. Mike was a wonderful caring individual and one of my most influential role models. I still have a copy of a letter he wrote evaluating my performance at his summer camp. I have spent my life trying to live up to his recommendations.

Mr. Hannigan was one of our football coaches in the fall of '54 and '55. His Marine back ground surely surfaced and no player wanted to disobey his instructions. A wonderful man who had such a beneficial influence on so many.
Blessings to the family and God bless Mr. Hannigan.

Colleen & the Hannigan family;
My heart goes out to you for your loss. When I first met your Dad in the late 1970's, I put him on a pedestal for all his accomplishments. He put me at ease by asking me to call him Mike.

We had many intense conversations about the New York Yankees among other sports topics.

Once a Marine, always a Marine. Ironically, he left us on Flag Day 2016, also my son Adam's 18th birthday.

There are no coincidences in God's world. May he rest in eternal peace.

He was an integral part in me wanting to pursue a career in physical education.I lived my dream in the Greenwich public school system for 30 years.
