Dear Connollys,
We are saddened to hear of Michael's passing. Please find peace in the fact that he is greatly loved and respected. Our family has never been able to mention his name or tell a Michael Connolly story without it starting with a big smile and a burst of laughter and ending up the same way but with an added shake of our heads. Although time and distance have separated us all, please know that he has always been greatly loved by this family and will forever live on in our hearts . God Bless.

Love,
The Mackail Family

Michael was a very dear friend. Even though we had not seen much of each other in recent years, the memories are / always will be there, from the days at Cos Cob school, Bible St Park to the years playing together on the Village Mudturtles softball team or just hanging with the boys. Michael always had a smile and something funny to say. Whatever he had he was willing to share, not to say even the shirt off his back. Thanks Michael for all the fond memories and good times. I want to express my deepest sympathies to Mrs. Connolly and family, Michael will be missed by all.

I am so shocked and sorry to hear one of my
all time favorite childhood friends has passed on. Micheal was the funniest, warmest and craziest person i knew. He was just so naturally funny you could not help but love him. We had so much fun doing his paper route and playing football at Cos Cob school. A simple walk down the street with Micheal was alway turned into a insane safari. He was amazingly creative with the simplest things and a gifted natural athelete. Micheal would take a glass soda bottle and throw it 50 feet in the air, spinning end over end, and catch it behind his back time after time and never miss!
Though I had lost contact with Micheal over the years, thoughts of him always bring a smile. Micheal was a rare and special human being. The time I spent growing up with Micheal and the Connolly family will always be cherished. My heart and prayers go out to Mrs. C, Tommy, Eileen and Mary.

Love
