Vincenzo Farina, beloved husband of Livia Farina, passed away peacefully Friday, November 16 at the age of 82. He was born in Pollutri, Provincia di Chieti in Abruzzo, Italy on December 13, 1935 to Biagio and Genoveffa Farina. At 18 he served the Italian army for 2 years at Cecchignola, Roma. Vincenzo worked with his father as a blacksmith in Italy before immigrating to the United States in 1961. He was the owner of Amerigo's Italian Restaurant in Byram for 30 years. Vincenzo is survived by his beloved wife, Livia; his loving daughters Jennifer LeSage (Jim) and Claudia Malagisi (Sandro); and five cherished grandchildren: Roman, Vincent, Leo, Marco and Gia Bella. He is also survived by his dear sisters Dora DiFilippo (Amerigo) and Dea Maria Pellicciotti (Franco). Many thanks to his loving nephews Nick and Enrico DiFilippo for their endless support. He is also survived by his loving in-laws Maria DiFilippo, Bruno and Elisa DiFilippo, including many precious nieces and nephews and other relatives and beautiful friends around the world. Much gratitude to the amazing doctors and nurses that have helped him during his illness. To honor his life, family and friends will gather Monday 2 p.m.-4 p.m. and 7 p.m.-9 p.m. at COXE & GRAZIANO FUNERAL HOME 134 Hamilton Ave., Greenwich (203) 869-5968. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Paul's Roman Catholic Church, Greenwich. Entombment to follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Greenwich. I was saddened to read of Vinny's passing. He was a wonderful man and I will always cherish the good times we all had together.
May he rest in peace and may God bless the entire Farina and DiFilippo families. You now have a new angel who joins your Dad in looking over you.
