Julia cherished each and every one of you. Julia moved to Canada in December 1978 where she married Gaetano. They were married for 33 years. Julia was happy to be a wife and stepmother/grandmother. She always enjoyed being around little children. They brought her much joy. Julia and Gaetano travelled many times to her home in Guatemala to spend time with her beloved family. She was very proud of her heritage. Julia and Gaetano were also very religious and every Saturday night they would attend mass and then head out to some of their favourite dining places ie. Burger King, Harveys, Swiss Chalet and Pizza Pizza. They truly enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Julia had many Spanish friends here in Guelph who loved her dearly. They frequently visited her at the nursing home and kept her entertained with prayer and song. We thank all of these special people who meant so much to her. Julia has been blessed with a long life and although her last 11 years has been spent at the Elliott Nursing Home, she was grateful for all the good years she had prior to that. A special thanks to all the staff/directors at the nursing home especially Dr. Lee and all the exceptional nurses/PSWs whom she always referred to as "Bella" and of course "Joel, her favourite". They tended to her every need and they held a special place in her heart. A very sincere thank you to Pastor Mike Dell for his kindness and support. Rest in Heavenly Peace Nonna Julia!
