News Death Notice
WOOSLEY, Gladys 69, of West College Corner, died Monday, November 5, 2012, at McCullough-Hyde Hospital in Oxford, Ohio. A native of Hazard County, Kentucky, Gladys was born December 29, 1942, to Roy and Bertie Sizemore Vires, both of whom preceded her in death. She was married in 1964 in Liberty to Bobby Woosley. Gladys was a member of the Oxford Church of God. Gladys liked sewing and creating crafts. In her leisure time, she enjoyed reading, listening to music, playing cards and fishing. Gladys is survived by her husband of 48 years; her four children: John Lewis Woosley and his wife, Kimberly; Glenn Woosley and his wife, Misty; Christopher Woosley and his girlfriend, Angelia Fryer, all of College Corner, Ohio; Patricia Kelley and her husband, Clifford of Cottage Grove; her brother: Raymond Vires of Fort Worth, Texas; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at Showalter Blackwell Long Funeral Home, Baker Chapel, College Corner, Ohio, with family friend Dean Smith officiating. Interment will follow in College Corner Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home from 12 to 2 p.m. Friday where memorial contributions may be made to the family to help defray funeral expenses. Dear Aunt Gladys, so glad I got to spend time with you a few weeks ago in KY. I have a lot of fond memories of you from when I was a little girl. You were always the same smiling lovable lady I remembered. I know Teresa is smiling in Heaven to have you there with her; she loved you much!
