News Death Notice

JACKSON, Mary C. (Mary Kay) Age 87, of Hamilton passed away February 9, 2013. Mary Kay was born November 2, 1925 in Pontiac, Michigan, the daughter of Agnes (Crahan) Gottschalk and Frederick H. Gottschalk. She was the youngest of five children. Studied early elementary education at Michigan State University. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Richard S. Jackson, Jr., whom she married on August 19, 1946 in Pontiac, Michigan. Moved to Hamilton, Ohio in 1956. She is survived by two sons, Richard S. (Sharon) and J. Gregory (Bonnie); three grandchildren, R. Gregory Jackson, Mary Elizabeth (Orlando) and Eric R. Jackson; and three great grandchildren, Kaylie E., Annabelle Joy and Madelyn E. She retired after 26 years as branch librarian at the Lindenwald and Fairfield libraries. After retirement she enjoyed volunteer work at Kramer Elementary School in Oxford, Ohio, Mercy Fairfield hospital and Fort Hamilton Hospital. A private service is being held for the family.
