News Death Notice

BANKS, Taylor Goebel 75, of Monroe, died Tuesday, October 23, 2012, at home. He was born in Frenchburg, Kentucky on April 30, 1937 to parents Nathan & Myrtle (Phipds) Banks. Taylor made his career in the United States Air Force, retiring as a Master Sergeant in 1975 after 20 years of service. Mr. Banks is survived by his son, David (Elena) Banks; and brother, Lee Banks. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lois P. Banks and his parents. Funeral Service will be held Friday, October 26, 2012 at 1:00 pm at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown with Reverend James Kinser officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 12:00 - 1:00 pm. Interment will be at North Monroe Cemetery with military honors conducted by the Middletown Combined Honor Guard.
